LTER Education Committee
The LTER Education committee meeting held on Sunday September 9th will consist of a closed business meeting (session) in the morning where our Terms of Reference/ByLaws will be presented, committee elections will take place and the direction of the LTER Education program will be discussed. Standing working groups will be reviewed to engineer alignment to the Strategic Implementation plan and its milestones. We will also debut the new LTER Education webpage and collect feedback.
After lunch on Sunday, the LTER Education committee meeting will host an Education Open Forum, allowing visitors and LTER guests to attend. Short presentations will showcase the EcoTrends project, the Jornada Basin Desert Data Jam project, the Ecological Society of America's (ESA's) Digital Library, the Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness (CLEAN) resource repository, professional development options, higher education and citizen science opportunities.
