Integrating Hydro-geomorphology into LTER Research Programs
Surficial hydrological and sediment transport processes can directly and substantially influence ecological processes across scales, yet long term hydrogeomorphological monitoring efforts are not typically designed with ecological processes in mind. This session seeks to explore ideas of how better to link these efforts to the LTER mission. Using our experiences at Konza, we will brainstorm how to facilitate collaborative research across LTER sites and between the hydro-geomorphological and ecological sciences. All interested parties are welcome.
