We introduce the Drupal ecological Information Management System (DEIMS).  Seven LTER sites are using a common framework to deploy a Information Management System based on the popular Drupal Content Management System.  With this system, LTER sites can manage bibliographies, media, meetings, presentations, metadata, generate metadata packages that can be ingested by the LTER Network Information System (PASTA).  This modern content management system allows us to connect the research plots with the datasets and publications.  DEIMS connects the information using keywords and database relationaships and display the content in a variety of outputs, from light weight dynamic maps to complex graphs.  Web based forms allow to enter metadata, personnel entries in a directory, coordinates and pubications (for example even putting only the DOI of a paper).  Edits are made though the web, and versions of the edits are automatically stored.  EML is automatically generated, as well as its versions and harvest lists.

The DEIMS group is now going to work into the second release of the DEIMS package with help of the professionals in the business.
